The hubs is coming down with a summer cold so I wanted to fix him up a vitamin C smoothie with some carrots and oranges. And of course I’ve always gotta throw in a little spinach and avocado so that I feel like it’s not too full of fruit and has some greens in it! But the greens make the juice not quite have that orange vibrant color, oh well I don’t mind. But if you do then maybe cut back on the greens.
- 2 oranges
- 4 carrots
- 1 banana *frozen preferred
- a small handful of strawberries *frozen is nice
- a handful of spinach
- ½ an avocado
- ¼ a lemon
- ¼ an inch of ginger
- 1 TBS of Chia Seeds *optional but I love chia seeds in all my smoothies
- Place all ingredients in the blender and blend away. I like to blend for about 10 minutes.
Spinach is also optional but you won't taste it, just makes the smoothie a bit more green in color then orange.
