FIERCELY RED PINEAPPLE BEET JUICE

Beets are one of my favorite veggies to juice.  Not only do they juice well they also make your juice a beautiful red color!  Well that red color is Betalain which is a great antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and detoxifier.  Beets are also a valuable source of iron and provide oxygen to your red blood cells.  I am always on the look out for ant-inflamatories and ways to increase my iron intake as a compliment to my running.

Pineapple Beet Juice

FIERCELY RED PINEAPPLE BEET JUICE

1 whole pineapple ( I actually probably juice 3/4 and eat the other 1/4!)

1 whole cucumber

5-6 carrots

1 inch of ginger

1 lemon

1-2 beets

a handful of greens ( I used some Kale here but if you have the greens from the beet that is great to juice too)

1 cup of coconut water ( I filter through my juicer coconut water throughout the process to help feed through the greens and other items that get a bit clogged up in there.  It’s also great to add to help hydrate and replace electrolytes)
