Hey there!  Here is my go to recipe for some fiercely scrumptious brussel sprouts!  Did anyone else despise brussel sprouts growing up?  I sure did.  I have a distinct memory of trying to force down the 3 whole brussel sprouts I had to eat in order to get dessert.  I would chew and wash down with milk trying to stop myself from gagging.  Ugh!  And now I can’t stop myself from eating a whole plateful thanks to the below recipe.

Brussel Sprouts

Brussel Sprouts

Cayenne Pepper

Soy Sauce

Olive Oil

First cut up your brussel sprouts in haves or fourths depending on the size (usually in fourths)

Heat up a frying pan on medium heat with olive oil

After the pan is warm toss in your veggies and then sprinkle on the cayenne pepper and regular pepper.  Stir a bit to get the seasoning spread around and then let sit and cook.

I probably cook for about 7-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, depending on how much I’m making.  The key is to not stir too often, you want them to get crispy.

Once crispy and almost done the last touch is to splash some soy sauce on them.  This gives them the final crisp and flavor!  I turn off the stove almost as soon as I splash the soy sauce and give them a stir.

*additional add on of garlic if you’d like some extra spice

*great as a side to any dinner, over rice, or a side to your eggs

I hope you love them as much as I do!  I can’t stop eating platefuls.  I always make a lot with the intent to save some for later to add to lunches or my eggs and I just end up eating them all!
